Each level is an isometric grid on which you can move up, down, left, or right. When you jump into a square with a fully-grown vegetable, Ben will put it on his head. After three or more vegetables are matched, they will disappear, you will get points, and the sprouts will grow. Sprouts will be fully-grown after three matches. Ben can only stack seven vegetables on his head, unless a power-up is used to permanently increase the limit. If that limit is broken, the vegetables will fall off Ben's head and you will lose moves. Max the dog. If you do not collect the required vegetables in a level within a certain amount of matches, Max the dog will wake up and chase Ben. Some levels pit you in a battle with Max, where Ben must collect all the listed vegetables while avoiding the dog. You will start with five carrots, which correspond to your lives. If you fail a level or are caught by Max, you will lose a carrot. Carrots slowly are restored over time. You can also connect to Facebook and ask friends for carrots. Do not be afraid to make matches outside of the stacks required to advance to the next level. If you have available matches, make extra stacks in to clear a path to required vegetables or to make sprouts grow. You can collect more of the same vegetables in the few seconds after matching three of them without decreasing the match counter. Use empty squares or squares with sprouts to reach the grown vegetables without picking up anything that is unwanted.
