This glitch makes survival mode easier than it should be or to be more accurate, your attacks do more damage. First go to the Free Battle Menu. Select VS mode. Choose any mode you want (team or single) and press square at the character select screen. Move the handicap all the way in your favor. Do a battle and make sure you can win. At the Rank (or loss) screen, exit to the Free Battle Menu. DO NOT exit to game mode select or you will have to start over. Go to Survival and choose whichever mode you're trying to beat. You should notice your attacks doing much more damage while the COM's attacks are doing very little damage. Unlock Characters and Character Variants
In order to unlock the characters in the game, play through the story mode's various scenarios. As you progress, you'll unlock different characters, usually after defeating said character or playing as said character.
