In Versus mode, press 'Start when selecting a stage. Shao Kahn laugh. That stage's music will be replaced with a song from a previous Mortal Kombat title. Note: The following stages do not have an alternate soundtrack: The Courtyard (Night), Desert, The Flesh Pits, Hell, Rooftop (Dusk), Shao Kahn's Throne Room, Shang Tsung's Gardens, Shang Tsung's Gardens (Night), and The Bell Tower.
Always fight Goro in Ladder mode
Choose a person at the character selection screen in Ladder mode, Then, hold Select while choosing a difficulty setting. The game will default to include Goro, instead of Kintaro in the boss Fight.
Boss character babalities
To execute a Babality on a boss character, do the following: Goro/Kintaro: Play at Medium difficulty or higher. Lose no matches (individual rounds are just fine, but no continuing). Perform a Babality on Shang Tsung. Do not use the block button at all in the last round of the fight with Goro/Kintaro. Babality will automatically activate upon your winning the match Shao Khan. Play at Medium difficulty or higher. Lose no matches (individual rounds are just fine, but no continuing). Perform a Babality on ALL characters along the ladder, including Shang Tsung and Goro/Kintaro. Do not use the block button at all in the last round of the fight with Shao Khan. Babality will automatically activate upon your winning the match.
Enter one of the following codes at the versus screen before a match begins, with player one entering the first three digits and player two entering the last three digits.

Clearing story mode should give you a hefty amount of koins for purchasing unlockable fatalities, costumes, etc. in the Kombat Krypt. If you grow tired of this, you can use Arcade Mode to farm for koins.
Set the difficulty to ''Very Easy'' and three rounds. Attempt to achieve a Flawless Victory (earns 1000 koins) each round. Perform a fatality for an extra 250 koins. This is a slow, but reliable method to earn a potential 3250 koins for a few minutes of work.
