To start air combos with assists, you hit the launch button with a direction: UP for more damage, DOWN to accumulate more super meter, or LEFT/RIGHT (balances damage and super gain) and then the assist button. Also, you counter an air assist by hitting the same button your opponent does when attempting one. So, if you're playing someone who uses them a lot be prepared to press one of those 4 directions + the Launcher Button when getting air comboed.

Set the game to the Very Hard difficulty setting, 30 second time limit, and damage on highest. Choose Task Master with Aim Master Assist, Chris with Gunshot Assist and Dr Doom with Plasma Beam Assist. Keep using the projectiles from the corner to win every match. When you reach Galactus, activate X-Factor and do a Hyper Crossover Combo to knock off a decent amount of health. He will hit you before you are done. At this point, fight him as you would normally.
Win a match with Deadpool, Wolverine and X-23 as your team.
