I would suggest that you use only two cars in your Career. One car and another SUV.

For the use of your car Nissan 240sx is sugested by me. Customize it to the top. It should take you about $150000 altotal. Put all of the performance parts on your car. Win many outruns on each level and get the bonus items from other racers. For performance bonus i would sugest that you take the engines, turbo, and the weight reduction kit. For body and visual parts put
the one you like. That's it for the car. Time to go to the next stage.

For the SUV take a Cadilac Escalade. Customize it to the top. It should take you about $120000 altotal. Put all of the performance parts on your SUV. Win many outruns on each level and get the bonus items from other racers. For performance bonus i would sugest that you take the engines, turbo, and the weight reduction kit. For body and visual parts put the one

  • Camera Glitch

When you crash into a car you will be presented with a slow motion cinematic display. Press the "Start" button to enter the pause menu, pressing the button again will resume the game, but this time you will see the camera change positions (behind the car) and you'll still be in slow motion.This can be used towards your advantage however as this command is entered you can prevent yourself from tumbbling, or tilting the car, and land safetly back on the blacktop.

  • Easier Turns

If there is a turn in a circit race that you find really hard and crash all the time. Then this might help you. As you approach the turn you will either see red arrows or just a wall. Most turns have a round invisable wall to stop you going off the track. Just let your car ride into this wall and let the wall do the turn for you dont go on a head on collision just ride along the wall. This may slow your speed down but it stops you from coming to a dead stop or crash. Do not use this in StreatX races. | Submitted by DaveC

  • Easy NOS recovery

To get lots of NOS easily, when you are standing still hold hand brake (R). Next, hold the gas then hold Left or Right. You should spin around and create smoke. This should give you 300 points instantly to recover turbo boost

Get on the highway and drive in reverse. After a few seconds you should begin racking up points on the right side of your screen. These points will give you extra NOS. Note: Crashing into traffic at high speeds will reduce your NOS.

When you are on the ground, activate hydros and keep flicking the Left Analog-stick Left repeatedly to get lots of points for filling your NOS bar. You can also do about three donuts, then wait and do another three donuts.

  • Easy Out-Run

In career mode (free-roam) you can challenge other racers to an outrun race, before you press up on the directional pad to start the race you can make the other car lose control. First find a car to challenge, then try to spin them out,while they are just starting to spin you press the up button on the directional pad to start the race. you leave them in the dust every time and it is an easy 100$. | Submitted by mcdogit

  • Fast Start

As soon as the animation of the cars pulling up to the line is over hold A and hit up then down on the thumb stick. Let go of A and slam the R trigger down to get you motor rev'ing.

If you've done the trick right you'll be put "back on the track" about 10 feet in front of the three other cars, and can take off at full speed. You'll get a head start bonus, and more importantly a GREAT head start!

This trick only works on U.R.L., Sprint, and Circut races. It will put you off to the side if you are in the first starting position.

  • Finding Hidden Shops

Look at road signs around the city. They often have colored shapes (yellow triangles, etc.) to guide the way to the shops or other important buildings. Also, look for street-lights casting a colored glow. This indicates that there is a shop very close.

  • Gain Turbo Fast

During gameplay. Go aganst a wall or building. With a car that has hydrolics, hold the R1 button and the left analog stick. | Submitted by mcdogit

  • Get drift points easy

Some of the downhill drift races have houses with looping drive ways that you can drive in. Drifting in these driveways gets a lot more points than on the street because you are so far off the road and are not hitting a wall.

  • Get Nitrous quick

To quikly fill up you Nitrous meter before a race, simply turn while holding down the handbreak and accellerate and you will do a 360, which give you 400 points. You can do this up to three times.

  • Refill NOS

To fill your NOS gauge when you have hydraulics, flip any car or SUV and hold A for about two seconds. Then, press any button to activate the hydraulics. Immediately, the word "Hydro" will appear on the right hand side of the screen
with a number underneath. The number should continue to rise and not stop. To stop doing this, release A and press Back to flip the car back over, starting with a NOS gauge filled to the overflow gauge.

  • Spider Man Glitch

  • Winning an outrun

Once you have found an opponent to outrun with, get in front of the opponent and get in the lead. Get as far as possible until the distance meter has reached its limit. If the distance meter starts to drop, it indicates that the opponent is catching up. When this happens, do a handbrake skid and turn the car around. Go back the way that you came from. The opponent will follow you as you are the one in lead, but he will take time to catch up, giving you an advantage to win the outrun.
