Beat the Bringer and Ripper in the Zoo
In the zoo level, there's a Bringer that won't let you by. The only way to beat him is to get the Shield of Rei. There's a statue that needs 3 relics. One is in the gorilla cages(shimmy over) another is laying around somewhere, and i think the other is by the gorilla throwing a tantrum (shoot him with the tranquilizer gun). when you get all the stones, touch the statue and it makes you invisible. go back to the guard who puts up the blue barrier. when you're invisible, he lowers the barrier. kill him and steal the Shield of Rei. go back to the Aquarium where the Bringer teleports you. when you see him cast the spell, block it using the BLOCK button. the spell will disappear, but the Bringer will charge. press R1 for quick stake and kill him. then you can go through the door. a film shows evil Giles, who calls himself Ripper. he's a real jackass. when he multiplies himself, watch the Ripper in the middle and follow him. when you hit him, if he goes away, you followed the wrong Ripper. When he makes dead gorillas come at you, make sure you're standing in this order: you, gorilla, Ripper. Ripper will cast a fireball and kill the gorilla for you. all you have to do is follow the right Ripper and let him kill his gorillas until you get an open shot while he runs and he's dead. there, you get Cassandra's torso. |

Buffy: you can stand and fight here. go for big combo like big right hook, big left round house, big uppercut, etc. close range fighting is best with this slayer.
Xander: gain higher ground here. if you get swarmed, fight your way out and attack when they come again. crossbows and long weapons like shovels and bats are best for this comedian.
Willow: ranged spells are best. don't use Shockwave unless your magic's low. use the sunspell when you're swarmed. magic works better than weapons for this Wicca.
Spike: Spike kicks ass no matter what. stand your ground and let the demon loose! swords, shovels, stakes (point-down please), or plain old fists work. even though he's a vampire, vamps tend to like biting his tempting neck and bleeding him dry.
Faith: her fighting sucks, bottom line. yeah, she fights like our Buff, but she's not a good. for Faith, go with a shovel or ranged weapon. close combat is a bad idea for the most part. she's open to fangs and claws, even being a slayer.
Sid: he's short, but he's tough. here it's okay to gain better ground. try using running attacks, because he lets his punches fly! vamps don't like to bite him because he's a wooden dummy, but watch out for crawling zombies! |

Faith: locked in the vault. get the flashlight from the first floor. go back up into the dark room and find the combonation. go down into the basement w/ the elevator and let her out. |

Wooden Stake - It's a basic weapon found in smashed chairs or crates or littered about levels. It works on all nasties.
Holy Water - A ranged weapon only effective on vamps.
Hellfire - A ranged explosion of fire effective on all enemies.
Shovel - A weapon that was once used for digging holes is effective on all creatures.
Spike - A longer version of a wooden stake found in smashed chairs or crates. It's effective on all baddies.
Crossbow - An effective ranged weapon used mostly for short circuting security systems.
Sword - A dangerous and effective weapon that can be used on all enemies. It's good for tight pinches in a fight.
Hope's Dagger - Cassandra Rayne's sword is used to fight the First in the last level. It's effective on all monsters and is the most effective weapon, able to kill bad guys in 1 or 2 small blows. |
Submitted by Spike'sSlayerYou start out w/ a minifilm w/ sid the dummy. after he leaves, a bunch of vamps attack you. you have nop weapons, so knock them down and pick up the shovel. after you kill them, go into all the mausoleums you can open doors to. check behind gravestones for stuff too. eventually, you'll have to go up some stairs through a gate and into the church courtyard. there will be a sundial that you need some pieces for. One is in the courtyard behind a gravestone. another you find in the first section of the graveyard. the other is in a mausoleum. when you complete the dial, it'll open the door to a mausoleum where you find the church key. go into the church where a lot of vamps try to jump you. kill them and go behind the altar. STAKES! then, go through the door the last guys came from and follow it down. it should take you into the next part of the church, where you have to go into the sewers. there'll be 2 guys at the bottom of the ladder, but be sure you get over to the other side of the gap and find the sword before you go down. you should eventually find a pipe valve in the back section of the sewers. i found this out by accident: run around the circlular section around the green ooze pressing TRIANGLE and you'll fix the valve. you'll go up the ladder where you fixed the pipe nad you'll get to fight kakistos. spike will help. the point of this part is to let spike kill the zombies while you attack the spell. |

In the intro level, there's stuff all over the store you can pick up by usin the TRIANGLE button. Behind the checkout desk, if you go up to the cabinet, press TRIANGLE and you'll find a medipak. people will walk you through most of the level. as willow, you learn the sunspell by getting the key from the back door by where you found the secret, then going to the desk by the front door. as xander, pick up the battle axe behind you after you take out the three vamps. then, kill the other guy(s) and pick up all the stuff by the crossbow. use the crossbow next. as spike, you're in the basement. kill the vamps and pick up the sword. some zombies will attack you. kill them and go back by the stairs. left, there's a medi pak. right, there's stakes. kill a bunch of guys and when you pick up the RELIC from the shelf, go to the gargoyle statue by the very last door that you can't open. it will open a secret room. then you go back as buffy and fight the last guys w/ willow. |

This level drove me absolutely nuts. as xander, you have to find one of Cassandra's body parts (i think it's the arm). kill the vamp sluts outside and pick up the shovel. go in through the broken window and squash the Bakemono gremlins with the shovel. read the note on the desk. look around the whole room to see if you find stuff. you eventually find a flashlight somewhere. in snyder's office, you find a dictaphone. the safe is locked. vamps are everywhere! sneak by the viney monster into the office. be sure no one follows you in, or they'll ambush you. you'll find a UV filter for your flashlight somewhere and the combo to snyder's safe. you'll find an alien gun and the key to the library cage. you find a disk somewhere and can use it on the hall moniter by the vine monster. he'll ask you for the password, which you'll find on a whiteboard using the filter. he'll laugh at you and say that you can't repeat the sound. go back to a computer where you can record it on the dictaphone. play it at the hall moniter and the vines go away. when you get to the costume room, you find a penticle star where you also find a magic hat. xander drops a rabbit and you figure out how to bring down the barrier by the gym. the stars are all over. One is outside(do this one last), one is in the library, which took me forever to find, but take your time in the hall where the garbage can is burning and it looks like you have to move it. trsu me, the door IS there. others are spread out. kill the dead dog things with your shovel. when that breaks, use the spike. when you find the yellow liquid, use it on the fountain in the quad. this makes morgoth ammo. fill the alien gun and spray the vine monster at the top of the stairs. aim right at the door. (you have to refill the guns 2 or 3 times) when you get to the last penticle star, use the smoke bombs on a little mound where you can see a Bakemono. smoke him out and squash him, otherwise, he'll piss you off endlessly by eating your rabbits. the barrier goes down and you have ! to fight Anyanca. here, run around back and forth to confuse her so she can't blow you up. place bunnies on the circles until she comes down. kick her ass when she does. repeat the confusing and kill the Bakemono before you do the rabbits. repeat all this until you kill Anyanca. you'll get the body part here. |

OOH! possession spell is learned here. when you're in trouble, cast it and vamps will have at each other until you kill them. use the protection spell too. a demon has info for you, but you have to get money first. he complains about how little there is, so go to the bank. this pissed me off to no end. in the bank, you set of the metal detectors. I finally realized i had to use the dictaphone to silence the alarms. when you get him the rest of the money, he tells you what you want to know. you have to fight Tara here, and she's a royal pain in your Wicca ass. Protection spells do jack here, so don't bother. instead, when Tara sends vampires at you, cast the possession spell on them. rather than attacking you, they'll attack her! when she's dead, you get the body part. |

This is the hardest of all the levels (no, duh. it's the last level). Lucky you. Cassandra Rayne chooses you as the one worthy soul to bear her sword, Hope's Dagger. Here, you're on your own and it's an all-out battle with the First. You start in the courtyard, where it looks VERY midieval. It looks like no one cleaned up the mess of the last battle. There's a stake to your right. You get attacked by at least 2 vamps and at least 1 monster (maybe wearing armor). Use the mangonel to open the door. A monster will come running out, really PO'ed that you did. KILL HIM! Jump up to where he came from and go through the door. This is the castle now. The whole place is just a maze. Find your way through, finding random things along the way. Sooner or later, you'll end up in another courtyard where a dead body is hanging from a noose. You'll have to move a cart out of the way to get through a door. Another courtyard has a sundial. Press TRIANGLE and it'll reveal a secret door (if not the 1st time, try again.) You have to make the canon work by grinding a block of sulfur you find in another room, when you jump up onto the ledge and go inside. You find Hope's Dagger in a room where all the doors are locked. It's very shiny, so you can't miss it. In the last courtyard, go up the the big door that there's no way you could unlock. If you move left and press TRIANFLE, Buffy will insert the sword into a slot and open it. You will go downstairs into a lower chamber, where you'll find Ethan. The Bringers sit in penticle stars and chant, so hit them with Hope's Dagger until they die. Attack Ethan with Cassandra's sword. It'll be launched away, but that's just how it reacts to the darkness of the First, and it still hurts Ethan, so go pick it up. Continue doing this until the minifilm. Cassandra comes and saves Ethan's life, and you meet up with your friends. The last little minifilm shows Ethan huddled up like a looney yelling, "Slayer...!" You've officially beaten the game. |
Submitted by Spike'sSlayerIn this level you play as xander first. save the woman on the conveyer belt first, then kick down all the wooden baricades. when you go through the next door, kill the vamps and free the guy/girl. if you see lockers, kick them. you'll find a crossbow. you use it later. when you get to the electirc fence, DON'T TOUCH IT! aim the crossbow at the box by the top of the gate to your right and shoot it. jump ontop the boxes and onto the gate. you get to the next section. when you see a girl in a cage, DON'T LOWER IT YET! kill the vamps on the other side of the fence first, then free her. when you're willow, you have to find tara and fight ethan rayne. most of the stairs are out, so use the metal crates and climb up. look everywhere for stuff, you never know where you'll find some good ol' holy water. when you have to help tara, use your newest spell first. when you get swarmed, use the sunspell. don't use it too much or you'll run out of magic. eventually, you free tara. |
Submitted by Spike'sSlayerHere you play as buffy w/ sid. you have to find the eyes of cassandra rayne in the morgue. protect sid at all costs. he'll swear at you when he's getting his dummy ass kicked. as sid, you go through the vent. kill the vamps and move the tanks into the fire to let buffy through. eventually, he says some sick remark about her hips and goes through a vent. go into all the doors until you find a sledge hammer. (you may have to go outside and kill zombies) use the hammer to knock down the wooden baricades. find a hydrogen tank by a bed where a bloody zombie tries to eat your brains. aim the tank at the fire, holding L1 and then press either TRIANGLE or X. you'll blast through the door. you meet buffy again and go outside. as buffy, you are alone, trying to meet up w/ sid again. kill tons of guys and go up the ladder. crash through the window and kill more guys. it gets hard here. never stop hitting the guys. the security guard tries to bite you , but kill him last. he'll drop a keycard. when you go out side, monsters crash through a skylight and come through a door by you. take your time, but slay fast. go through the door the vamps came through, kill them and have a look around. in one section, you pick up a severed hand, use it on the door w/ the security lock. you'll go out onto a balcony where a minifilm shows you where to go. people get boggled and confused here. follow the path of the camera, by jumping up. you'll grab a ledge and shimmy across. go in through the broken window. when you end up in a dead end room w/ a projector screen, lift it to reveal a door using TRIANGLE. the elevator is broken, but jump inside. kick both wire circut breakers. you'll meet sid again and he'll lead you to the morgue. fight off the zombies and protect him while he looks for the records. when he tells you to get the eyes, do it and the end film will play. |
Submitted by Spike'sSlayerHere you're Spike. lots of undead soldiers here. bust 'em up, but run away when their heads explode because some have grenades filled with bad stuff for vampires like you. the hardest part is the cyborgs. when you trip the alarm, it's a clue. you go into the next room, and there's a hot water pump. hit it until it explodes. you'll now be able to see the sensors! jump over them so you don't set them off and go into the control room. slay some bad guys and hack the security system. check the lockers and chairs. jump over the sensors again, or you trip the alarms and start the whole level over. the next hard part is a closed quarentine room with a cyborg soldier. use the EMP grenades to temporarily shut down his manframe. open the cage closest to the door to your right. pick up the severed head and retinal scan it. the cyborg won't follow you through the door. in another room, you find out how to kill the cyborgs. you also get to use an M-116 assault rifle on a truck once you find the ammo. when you climb a ladder and end up in a hole like area about 5 feet wide, there'll be a minifilm showing the cyborgs getting up. toss in an EMP bomb or 2 and jump in. if they didn't get hit, throw another one. then, hack the computer and shut them down. then, go through the door where a film will show Adam. when fighting him, the mindless undead guys chase you, so don't stop running around the Pit. Every so often, Adam will pick up a barrel. throw an EMP grenade and he'll drop it on his head (haha). repeat this until he dies. then you'll get the body part. |
Submitted by Spike'sSlayerYou play as buffy here. giles goes into the basement to do something while you wait. kakistos appears w/ some nasty looking vamps. kill the vamps and go through the back door behind the counter that was locked before. once out back, kill the vamps and crash through the window on the floor. giles asks you to get his spellbook from the shop. go back the way you came and find the book on the top shelf where willow started the first level. go back to giles w/ the book. he'll ask you to find gorgon venom. go back to the store. the venom is across from the counter. it should be blue or purple. press TRIANGLE and get the gorgon stakes. go back to giles and he'll sick you on the gargoyles. GET THE MEDIPAK FIRST! don't stop staking the gargoyles. they don't hit you a lot, but when they do, it hurts a lot. |
Submitted by Spike'sSlayerHere you're Faith trying to kill Kakistos. kill the vamps outside, like the one in the john, and go into the building. there's a hidden door, so look around. zombies pop up like daisies in the mines, so heads up! use a shovel most of the time. move the barrels under the broken elevator. when you find some dynamite, stick it in the wall when she says "This'll flood. No digging here." or something like that. a mini film will play. there's this whole section in a hotel type place, where vamps constantly hound you. keep 'em back, or you're dead. go into the rooms until you save a woman who gives you something. you should have a lighter now. Faith will remark on how she feels air by the fireplace. press TRIANGLE. a door will open. at some point you have to go into the attic and unscrew the chandelier to get through the breaking floor. At some point during the level, you'll enter a room where you're overlooking a crevace. go down until you reach a door the she said she can't open. don't go all the way down the stairs or you'll fall into some nasty stuff and die. there should be another room somewhere where you blow up a pillar. the pressure is relieved from the door and you go into it. there's a puzzle with the charcoal, where you use the lighter. eventually, you find your way to Kakistos. Again, he makes with the showy magic spells. this gets hard, but don't get frsutrated. the more pissed you are, the harder it is to win. follow the same routine you did as Buffy. don't try to kill Kakistos, because you won't. Don't get sidetracked with the zombies, because that's what Kakistos wants. go for the spells, kicking the and hitting them with big moves. if you aim just right, you'll hit the zombies AND the spells. spread out your medi paks (if you do well, you'll have 5 when you get to Kakistos). when all of the spells are gone (there are about 5), you can start hitting Kakistos. when he gets low on power, throw him onto a broken piece of wood or run him through with a spike. you'll get the body part. |
