Start the game with one of the following command line parameters to activate the corresponding cheat function:

Disable sound -nosound
Full screen -f
Set screen resolution -r[width]x[height]
Windowed screen -w

You can control dorm members, make them graduate, and move them to the neighborhood. To do this, you must have a former dorm member living in a Greek house. They must also be friends with the dorm member. Make the dorm member pledge to join the Greek house. Then the dorm member can move to the Greek house. Note: This also works if you have a student living on their own in a house. Just ask them to move in.

Enable the moveObjects on code and go into buy mode. Click on the Sim then press [Delete]; or drag him or her to the area where it says: click here to delete. The Sim will be permanently deleted.

When a Sim drops out of college, they will automatically grow into adults and will never be able to attend college again.

When you move into a dorm room, go into buy mode and sell everything you can. It is possible to get up to 65,000 Simoleons from a small dorm room, with eight rooms and a medium dorm room with twelve rooms. Note: This trick works best if you sell everything as soon as your Sim moves into the dorm room, as you will get the full price for everything. If you do not, you will get a slightly depreciated value for all the items.

While your Sim is in college, claim a dorm room. Then, click the "Buy Catalog" button and look through the other dorm rooms. Use the hand to pick up things from the other dorm rooms and drag them into your dorm room. You can even take items in the halls of the college and from the kitchen.

Whenever you "resurrect" a Sim that was initially dead (for example, Skip Broke, Darlene Dreamer, Michael Bachelor, Bella Goth, etc.), that Sim will disappear upon re-entry of that lot with a message stating that your Sim has died on another lot. To prevent this, enable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code and right click on a Sim. Select "Spawn" then "Tombstond Of L & D". Select the Tombstone Of L & D and choose the "Get neighbor..." option. Sort through the names until you find the one you are looking for. Click on the name of the Sim you wish to "resurrect" and that Sim will spawn next to the tombstone. Right click on a Sim and spawn "Rodney's Death Creator". Have the resurrected Sim select it and die. Allow the Grim Reaper to take them. Then, get a Resurrect-o-nomitron. It is the career reward for the Paranormal career track. If you do not already have one, select an adult Sim and right click a newspaper. Select "Career Rewards" and "Paranormal". Open Reward mode and place the Resurrect-o-nomitron on the lot. For this part you will need about 10,000 Simoleons. Have a Sim on the lot use the Resurrect-o-nomitron to bring back the Sim you had just killed. Offer 10,000 Simoleons and you will get your dead Sim back permanently.

If your Sim wanted a certain room and someone else took it, click on their face on the left side of the screen. Click on their door and choose "Unclaim Room". If you do not control that Sim, then delete the door.

Enable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code and buy a telescope. Hold [Shift] and click the telescope then select "Get abducted".

Members of the dorms other than the ones you create cannot die except by fire or ghost attack. If you take away toilets, showers, and cooking appliances, they will not suffer mood failure. Their moods automatically replenish when low. A better way to try this trick is to place them on top of the roof using the moveObjects on code.

Enable the moveObjects on code and go into buy mode. Click on a dorm room door and delete it. Then, find an extra door and move it to the dorm room.

Since those NPC's that they bring home are teens, you'll never be able to have them move in with you, but if you go to the Neighborhood screen and go to where the Sim bin is, you'll see an option that says 'Send Sims to college' under that menu is all of the teen Sim NPC's. Send them to college and play them there until they Graduate or once at college just have them drop out to send them back to the Neighborhood and in the Sim bin where you can have them move into a lot and play them there.

Use the following case-sensitive codes after enabling the Postprocessing cheats with the boolProp enablePostProcessing true code. Note: Do not enable or use the
Postprocessing cheats unless your video card supports pixel shaders.

Effect - Code

Blur effect; red, green, blue value must be between 0 and 255, and x (bloom)
between 0.0 and 1.0 - bloom [r g b x]
Centered blur effect; centerX and centerY are screen coordinates; x (vignette) must be between 0.0 and 1.0 - vignette [centerX centerY x]
Grainy screen effect - filmGrain [0.0-1.0]
Letterbox screen effect - letterBox [0.0-0.4]

If your Sim or object is not working with anything, try doing this. It will reset what they are doing with no harm done. First, enable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code Shift click on the Sim or object that is not working. Keep selecting the "More..." option until you find the "Force Error" selection. A box will appear. Select"Reset". This will cancel anything they are doing, no matter what.

Once you are a secret society member, you can do the following:

Hack Grades ability
Neat-o llama blazer
Secret Handshake
Use of items in Secret Society HQ

Enter the Create-A-Sim screen. Look at the corner on the left, next to the mirror, to see a portrait of Will Wright (the creator of the Sims series) as a Sim.

Pick a major that not only leads to a career for a Sim, but also takes into consideration their level of skills when they get to college. If you choose wisely, they will skate through many semesters without even worrying about skills.

Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C during game play to display the console window. Enter boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true to activate testing cheats mode. This is a very
powerful cheat that enables many new things. In Create A Sim, after enabling this code, go into debugmode by pressing [Shift] + N before making a Sim. You now
have the following new things in Create A Sim: skin tones, clothing, and some other options such as viewing the skinfilenames. In the game itself, after enabling
this code, hold [Shift] and left click on a Sim to have lots of options, such as changing clothes, make your Sim fat or thin, set their aspiration level, etc. This
code also can spawn some interesting items, such as the tombstone of L(ife) and D (eath), and family members. Enable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code then go onto a different family. A strange code will appear at the top right hand corner. If you go onto the
Sims' needs, you can click on each one and drag it up or down, whichever desired. You can also increase the skill points of your Sims in the same way. This
is useful if you want a promotion, if your Sim is depressed, if you are teaching a toddler to walk, etc. You can also hold [Shift] and click on a Sim. Click on "More",
then "Spawn" and create the Tombstone of L and D. You can click on this, then "More" then "Make everyone here friends with me", which helps if you need
friends to get promoted, or to complete an aspiration task.

Whenever, you use your portable gaming system, after finishing playing it, a relationship point gain will appear over your head. After playing with the game many times, your Sim will even develop a crush on it. The strange part is though, no new Sims are added to your friends list.

Ok to make yourself a torture room make a family and move them into a city with lots of people in the town. Turn on the move all objects cheat (by pressing holding Ctrl, Shift, C and typing moveobjects_on) then make a second floor to your house without stairs or an elevator leading up to it. Then when neighbors come to visit you pick them up and put them in your torture room and don't put anything in there like a bed or toilet. It is hilarious watching all of the people interact. Also order groceries or a pizza or call the cops or firemen etc. to get more people in there. | Submitted by xgreendayx

When you go to the Create-A-Sim menu there is a room with a mirror and window, for designing your sim. In the left hand corner (beside the mirror) there is a mysterious potrait. This is Will Wright as a sim!
