  • Abort Obliteration

If the "Obliterate City" button under "God Mode" was accidentally clicked, anytime before the game screen starts flashing white, press [Esc]. The game will stop the obliteration sequence.

  • Brainwashing

On the adviser screen, click the query box, then click the "X" on the bad or good messages.

  • Cheat Mode

Press [Ctrl] + X during game play to display the console window. Type one of the following codes then press [Enter] to activate the corresponding cheat function. The console window will close to confirm correct code entry.

Code: Effect

fightthepower: Get Rid of Power Requirement
hellomynameis: Change Mayor Name (add a space,
then the name you wish to change it to)
howdryiam: Get Rid of Water Requirement
sizeof: Magnify (1-100)
stopwatch: Pause Clock
tastyzots: Toggle Zots
weaknesspays: 1,000 added to Treasury
whatimeizit: Set Time (add a space, then the time)
whererufrom: Change City Name (add a space, then
the name you wish to change it to)
you don't deserve it: All Rewards
zoneria: Hide Empty Zone Color
recorder: Starts the recorder
gol: Map has greenish tint
dollyllama: Advisors now appear as llamas

To display the ' character, press ", then press [Backspace]

  • Double rewards

Enable the you don't deserve it code, and write down requirements for reward (hold the pointer over the picture.) Place that reward. Then, do the requirements for it. Neil Fairbanks will ask your permission to build the reward a second time in your city.

  • Faster Money Cheat

Access the cheat box by pressing Ctrl + X. Then type weaknesspays

Highlight it using the mouse then press Ctrl + C

Then whilst holding down Ctrl press enter.

The box should NOT go away. Then while still holding Ctrl press V the 'weaknesspays' should come back. As long as you hold down Ctrl keep pressing V then enter and your money will keep going up, with out you having to type the whole cheat again!!!

  • List of good cheats

First of all, to even access the cheat menu in this game, you will need to press and hold Ctrl and X at the same time. The cheat menu will come up in the form of a little box in the top left-hand corner. Then, enter any one of these cheats. They MUST be typed exactly as I have, excepting capitol/lowercase.

Then hit ENTER. If the cheat worked, the box will close. If it didn't, the box will open. You can't really play the game while the box is open, so if you can't get the cheat right, backspace until the box is blank and hit CTRL + X again to close it.

1st Cheat: Weaknesspays--give 1,000 dollars.

Special note on this cheat. Type the cheat in once first, then reopen the cheat box. Hold shift, then press the up button on the 4 key thing next to CTRL. The cheat will reappear, and you can use it again with just that. Keep holding the shift button and press ENTER. The box will not close. Hit up again, and the cheat will reappear. Then hit ENTER, and the cheat will activate again. This works with Weaknesspays the best, but will also work with any other cheat. Repeat as necessary to get $$$.

  • Reactivate God mode

To reenter God mode after you have created your City, hold [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Shift] and click the "God Mode" button. The tools will not be the post-establishment tools, but will revert back to pre-city tools. They will remain that way as long as you stay in God mode, otherwise they go back to normal.

  • Save money on traffic

Building highways is a heavy hitter on your budget, and noisy as well. If you place two roads side by side and connect every segment with streets (roads have stoplights), then you should be able to get traffic moving just as fast as on highways, but much cheaper and quieter.
