Dying Light Cheats

Find a burning zombie and kick or throw it on a spike trap.

Jump up on a van or bus on the overpasses or the big bridge. Lure a crowd with firecrackers. When about twenty of them have been attracted, throw a Molotov cocktail at them.

Start a multiplayer game with some other players who have lured zombies in. Activate and reset the light trap without moving. In single player mode, find a light trap close to a safe zone to allow you to run back and heal between activations. You must reset it before activating it again.

Lure the zombies to a puddle of water and use the trap. Consider doing this at Old Town. Look for large puddles of water with a small generator nearby. Usually they are at the large town squares. Stand above on the big lamps and throw some firecrackers to lure them into the puddle. Then, jump down and activate the generator. Unlock the electric fence trap upgrade. Stand above an electric fence trap, throw some firecrackers down, then activate the trap.

Use the mod that is awarded for completing the Gunsmith side quest at the Old Town.

This can be done in single player mode if you have the Cuisine & Cargo DLC. Quarantine Zones are counted as coop competitions, even when completed in single player mode. With the DLC there are ten Quarantine Zones in total. Complete all of them to earn "Harran Athletics".

A wrench, the Vault skill, and the Drop Attack skill are required. Find two zombies then equip your wrench. Line up the zombies, then run and vault over the first zombie. Drop attack the second zombie with your wrench.

This can only be done in co-op mode. Additionally, the host cannot earn it. At the end of the test, the Bozak must kill his partner. After finishing the twenty challenges, take the weapon from the box on top of containers. When you kill the three persons, the Bozak will talk with you.

If you pay attention to the armed soldiers in safe houses, you'll see that they sometimes are equipped with guns. If those soldiers die, they drop guns and ammo that you can use for your own purposes. Simply carry a propane tank into a safe zone and throw it at a chosen guard until he dies. Then you can pick up the gear he drops. You can repeat this technique whenever a guard respawns.

As you become familiar with your new room in The Tower, you might notice a guitar in the corner of the room. You can interact with the instrument to play a note, but it's obvious that Kyle Crane never learned how to play one. Luckily, there's time to address that oversight! Play through the main missions until you need to infiltrate a school with Jade. Make sure to search every classroom thoroughly, and you'll find another guitar, along with a lesson book! Return to the tower and interact with the guitar again. Now you'll be able to play short tune.

At the beginning of the game, in the room you wake up in above one of the beds, there is a Jade "The Scorpion" Aldemir poster. On the bottom right corner of the poster is a QR Code. If you get your character close enough to the poster (crouching down helps) you can actually scan the code with your mobile device and it will take you directly to a web site.

Techland has included an homage to another great zombie game: Left 4 Dead. Head slightly north of the Tower to a safe house area guarded by large chain-link fences. Once inside, look South across the street and you'll find a bakery with a very unique sign: Left4Bread.

When you are done with a weapon, open your Inventory and dismantle it to gain Metal Parts. Metal Parts can be used to repair other items. Although this is not as good as selling a weapon, it can be used to obtained Metal Parts immediately when needed.

You might not be able to spot the Hero of Hyrule in Dying Light, but you can find his legendary sword. During the story mission that takes you from the Slums to Old Town, you'll arrive at a staging areas where survivors make the trek one by one. If you happen to have done Dawud's side quest to get him a gun, you'll find him and his son waiting to cross to Old Town. His son, as it happens, is carrying a toy version of the Master Sword! Sadly, he doesn't seem willing to part with it.

You can find the fabled "Sword in the Stone" in Dying Light, except this time around it's the "Sword in the Zombie."

Look for the sword on a tiny rock in the far southeast area of Harran's Slums, south of the fishing area. Swim out all the way to the rock to find a golden sword impaled upon a zombie.

The sword won't come willingly, as only the chosen my pull it from its fleshy sheath. You'll need to hold down the grab button for several minutes as the orange bar slowly fills all the way around button prompt. You won't have any enemies to worry about fighting off - just make sure your finger doesn't slip!

When you finally pull the sword out, you'll find that it does an extreme amount of damage - but at the cost of only 7 durability! Luckily, there is a way to make more of it. Shortly after taking the sword, the corpse the sword was embedded in will start to burn up. After it burns, you'll find the blueprint for the blade in its place.

Acquire the Melee Throw Skill. Collect or purchase the most powerful weapons that you can find. Travel to a location that is safe from enemies. Use the Melee Throw Skill to throw your weapon at a wall. Immediately after the throw, open the menu, and the same weapon will also appear there. Drop the one from your inventory. You will now have two of the same weapons that can be collected, one that was thrown and one that was dropped. Pick up the weapon again and throw it. Repeat the process as many times as desired to duplicate the weapon. Then, sell the extras for money.

Weapons can be upgraded in two ways, through blueprints and upgrade slots. Both blueprints and slots can be found hidden in various locations. Every weapon has upgrade slots. Higher quality weapons will have more upgrade slots. If a weapon has an empty upgrade slot, go to your inventory and select the upgrade mod you want to apply to it. Different upgrade mods increase different stats. The following is a list of all upgrade mods and their respective upgrades.
