On Melemele Island, where the Battle Buffet is located, enter the mall and talk to a couple of NPCs who are standing near some posters, in the area's left portion. They remark that there is no switch behind the poster, which is a reference to the original Pokemon games, where you discovered Team Rocket's hideout in Celedon City after pressing a switch that was hidden behind a poster.
Battle Tree Streak Rewards
After completing a streak of some number of wins at the Battle Tree, the next day on your return you will receive an item from the receptionist depending on how long your streak was.
Successfully complete the indicated task in the demo version of Pokemon Sun/Moon to unlock the corresponding item in the full version of the game using the "Pokemon Link" option:
Ash-Greninja (Greninja with Battle Bond used in demo): Successfully complete an adventure.
Balm Mushroom: Celebrate the birthday of the Pikachu in the corner of the City Hall 12 days after starting the demo.
Comet Shard: See the girl in the Marina off on her journey 24 days after the demo starts.
Nugget: Successfully complete the Pokemon Capture challenge.
Pretty Wing x10: Speak with the man outside of the Pokemon Center one day after starting the demo.
Star Piece: Defeat all of the trainers at Ten-Carat Hill.
Stardust x3: Get rid of all the rocks in Mahalo Trail.
Speak to the old man at the Malie City Outer Cape.
Normally, it takes a long while before an egg that you carry around with you will hatch. However, you can increase the hatch speed if an active party member has either the Flame Body or Magma Armor ability. You can further improve hatch speed by hopping onto a Tauros and riding it around for a minute or so. This works best if you find a long, straight path, such as the lengthy stretches in Route 6, or at Heahea City on Akala Island. Running in circles also works, but requires more effort.
Free Premier Balls from Thrifty Megamart
Location: Thrifty Megamart, Akala Island This trick is possible since you always receive a 50% coupon at the door. Speak to the lady in red and purchase at least 10 pokeballs at a time to get your free premier ball. Simply sell back your pokeballs for your purchase price and repeat. You can speed up the process by simply pressing Right on the D-Pad which will auto select 11 pokeballs.
Defeat Lana in a battle in Konikoni City.
In order to get Ash's Greninja from the Kalos seasons of the anime, you must download and play through the special demo of Pokemon Sun and Moon. This Greninja is the primary Pokemon in the demo, as Sun (the male player character) received it from a mysterious friend who found him in Kalos after he was released by Ash. After beating Plumeria and receiving the Ride Pager, go into the Pokemon Center and talk to Professor Kukui, and you can transfer a copy of this Greninja is sent to Pokemon Sun or Moon as long as you have a physical or digital copy. The Greninja's ability is Battle Bond, which transforms it into Ash-Greninja if you are in a battle against more than one Pokemon and you make one of them faint with Greninja. This also boosts the power of Greninja's signature attack, "Water Shuriken". Only one Greninja can be transferred per demo save, and only one of these Greninjas can be sent to a save at a time. Pokemon Bank COULD be used to get multiples, but it would take a lot of patience.
Clear Master Rank in the Battle Royal.
Increased Battle Earnings
You can earn a bunch of extra money when you win Pokémon battles, if you take a few steps.
First, look for the Amulet Coin in the Paniola Ranch area. You'll find it behind the red truck that is parked near the Pokémon Nursery. Give it to your favorite Pokémon to hold, and that will double your winnings received from battles with other trainers (provided the Pokémon that is holding the amulet participates). You can also combine the effects of the amulet with the Happy Hour move, to quadruple your earnings. One easy way to obtain that move is by claiming the Mystery Gift Munchlax, which is available until January 11, 2017.
For every 10 Pokémon Sun/Moon QR codes you scan using your 3DS, you will be able to activate the "Island Scan" feature. This will allow you locate potentially rare Pokémon that doesn't normally "spawn" in the wild.
Defeat Ilima in a battle in Hau'oli City.
The first time you visit Professor Kukui's lab, he is off-screen battling Pokemon. He says "My body is ready!" while he fights, which is a reference to the E3 2007 Wii Fit demonstration, where Reggie Fils-Aime said "My body... my body is ready."
Enter these from the Mystery Gift option at the title screen, via the password distribution option. They will give you gifts in the game! Note that Mystery Gift passwords require an internet connection, and may expire after a specific time.
