Save your free boosts, such as the Cake Shovel that allows you to destroy a specific sweet, only when you are close to completing a difficult level. Connect to Facebook to get extra lives from friends. Each level has a certain number of sweets that must be matched. When a match is made, the surrounding sweets will get powered up. This is indicated by the number that appears at the bottom left corner of a sweet, which corresponds to how much that sweet is worth. The more combos you make around the sweets, the higher the number will get. Create special matches to get additional affects. Matching four sweets will shoot a power-beam either horizontally or vertically that powers up nearby sweets by an increased amount. Matching five sweets will cause sweets all over the level that are the same as match to be collected, giving you a large score bonus. Creating a "L" or cross match will shoot a power beam both horizontally and vertically. Some levels require you to break sweets that are trapped in orange candy. To do this, matching the sweets that are inside the candy. Make this a priority, as it will be required to complete the level as well as filling your quota. Because the orange candy is static, the correct pieces must fall into the correct locations. Trying matching from below the orange candy to force different types of sweets fall. Use strawberries to increase the power of your matches. This is especially useful for Bosses such as Piquant Monkey who appears at the end of World 1. Lives are normally restored over time.
