There are multiple ways to acquire Tech Cards, which help you to seriously improve your game and should be considered a priority. You can get them by dominating the weekly war events (cards are then awarded randomly), or by purchasing them outright with diamonds. Always pay attention so you don't miss the arrival of the jetpack guy, who occasionally will appear on-screen to offer you a present. You can collect it to improve the revenue you earn from taps, or even to temporarily increase business revenue. Early on, make sure that you purchase businesses as quickly as possible, and to upgrade them to at least level ten. Along the way, make sure you're also investing in auto-collect upgrades and improving your tap income, but businesses are key. Once you have a hotel and have upgraded it to 10 or so, then it's time to head back through and upgrade your early buildings to around level hundred, to take advantage of speed improvements. Diamonds are precious currency, and you can use them for Tech Cards and Perks. It's possible to use the Make it Rain perk to receive the same amount of income you would in the course of a normal 24 hours of play. If you take advantage of that perk, do it when it will do you the most good. Make sure you're businesses are generating maximum revenue or at least at a very high level.
