Collect 50 Yellow Toads and 30 Purple Toads in Toad Rally.
When you have an invincibility star active it will act as a coin magnet collecting automatically any coins that come near you. This is particularly useful when you encounter coloured coins that are just out of reach in Tour mode and for collecting lots of coins in a short period of time in Rally mode.
Always select the door in the ghost house that does not shake intermittenly. Although watching the doors to see which ones shake will take you several seconds it will save you time in the long run by not entering the wrong doors.
When you encounter a ghost that is carrying keys or coins you have to kill it by jumping over it backwards to make it vanish and drop whatever it was they were carrying. To jump backwards over a ghost you just have to use a backwards arrow tile.

Keep an eye out for Pink coins in Rally mode as they are worth 10 coins apiece and will also earn you Toad applause.

Collect 150 each of Red, Green, Blue, Purple and Yellow Toads in Toad Rally.
Collect 250 each of Red, Green, Blue, Purple and Yellow Toads in Toad Rally.
Collect 400 each of Red, Green, Blue, Purple and Yellow Toads in Toad Rally.
Complete the Tutorial.
Princess Peach is the ONLY character that can backtrack in the game. Start doing her "Floaty Jump" move (tap and hold), the swipe hard to the left. She actually will float backwards, backtracking the level as she descends.

Build Toadette’s house in Kingdom Builder.
Use Pause Blocks, in Mushroom Kingdom, to take a break and plan your moves. Use them to scan the area for enemy locations and path panning.
If you manage to hit multiple blocks at once you may end up getting double the rewards.
At the end of the stage prepare yourself to hop and grab the flag pole. Getting your hands on the top will be rewarded with an extra 10 coins and the best way to it is by activating Mario’s mid-air Spin Jump.
To unlock and play as Toad you need to link your Nintendo account to the app. Once you link it to back to the main menu, hit the My Nintendo bubble and under the rewards tap on Toad and hit redeem. Then go back to the main menu and hit the gift box and select all.
To unlock princes Peach you'll have to successfully complete the entirety of World Tour, which consists of six worlds and 24 levels. Once you get to the end and rescue Peach from Bowser’s clutches, she will become a playable character.
The rest of the unlockable characters - Luigi, Yoshi and Toadette - are unlocked by playing through Toad Rally, the app’s other game mode.
