Only spikes and obstacles are dangerous. Black spaces without spikes are safe. The ball can slide along that type of surface without problems. Tap to nudge your ball to the right side slightly. Tap and hold to drift the ball continuously towards the right. Unless you are forced to move elsewhere, try to remain in the center of the screen to be able to quickly respond to any kind of shift in the wave. Most of the time, you will not need to tap and hold to move to the right. Instead, you will usually constantly moving back and forth. Use light taps to dodge obstacles. Most of the available power-ups are offensive in nature, for example the laser cannon that can automatically destroy any obstacle in front of you. Defensive power-ups are also available, such as the pulsating shield that destroys anything that touches you.
