The block above your Derp's head will cycle between a coin and a skull. When the coin icon appears, tap the block to make your Derp collect coins from the block. The block will start to shake when it is about to cycle to the next icon. If your Derp hits the block when it is a skull, he will take some damage and drop his hunger and life bars. Always keep a reserve of at least ten coins. Keep that reserve in the event of an emergency to prevent a death. Most emergencies can immediately be countered by purchasing the appropriate medicine or tool. Your Derp can die very quickly if left alone. You can also purchase those life-saving items ahead of time and store them in your Derp's home, ready for use. Each time your Derp dies, the piggy bank meter at the end will fill depending how long your Derp survived. Once it is completely filled, you will be rewarded with a piggy bank upgrade that allows you to start a new game with more coins. Be careful when a small fireball appears in the corner of your Derp's room. The fire will spread to your Derp and it will catch on fire. You must act quickly before your Derp dies. Spend 12 Coins for a bucket of water and extinguish the fire. The cheapest food that can be purchased are the eggs which cost three coins. However, they are covered in green spots that will make your Derp ill. Instead of feeding your Derp eggs, consider the onion.
