When attacking another city, scout them first. This will reveal information, such as any heroes or type of units they have. Use this information to decide what type of units you should use. Open the green chest at the bottom right corner to collect resources and supplies. It can be opened at no cost after a certain amount of time has passed. The more times you collect it, the better the rewards will become. The amount of time you have to wait will increase each time you open the chest. Build an academy in order to research buffs to different sectors of your base. There are four categories that can be researched; economy, defense, military, and monster hunt. Starting a research project force you to wait at least half an hour before you receive a permanent buff from it. Consider starting with Construction Speed research under the "Economy" tab. This will reduce the time that you have to wait for buildings to complete. Always try to have some sort of research in progress.
