Ants will spring traps on you. Use your positioning to avoid the traps. Ants are in the background and not in the foreground. With proper timing you can get past their anvils. Use elevation to avoid them, either at the top or bottom of the screen. When you encounter a loop in your route, fly through it. Your firefly will do a back flip and front flip, then automatically collect all of the sparkles that are lined up after the loop. The farther you travel, the more points you can accrue. To be successful, you have to practice techniques such as flattening yourself and not bouncing to collect as many sparkles as possible. Every sparkle earned is worth 1,000 points. Most of the time, sparkles tend to appear in clusters or lines. Use short taps with a quick lean from the left side of the screen. If you tap too long, you will launch upwards and miss sparkles. You can also earn points by shooting enemies with apples. This also protects your firefly from harm. Because you have a limited stock of apples, this must be done accurately and strategically. To restock your apples, collect apple clusters to get ten of them.
