 You get bonus experience if you manage not to get hit during combat. So, play slowly and, paradoxically, you will progress faster.
Don’t get stuck in the middle of a fight. If the enemies are attacking you from all sides, run away and try to group them on one end of the screen. This will make combat much easier.
In order to parry, simply press the attack button and then hold it. Parrying destroys your enemy’s defenses and lets you counter his attacks much more efficiently.
Don’t forget to use dash to escape imminent attacks and link combos. This move can also be done in air, giving you a lot more options.
Keep track of unreachable locations. As your main character progresses, he will unlock more abilities, which can help him overcome various obstacles.
When in combat, it is essential to keep moving. You will be a harder target to hit, and you might reach a better point to stand your ground.
