Keep the elements in mind when you decide what equipment to use. Keep in mind the elements associated with each piece of equipment, as well as their stats. Gyalp is a good one if you are facing a wide variety of enemies, but if you are facing mostly a specific element of enemy, then you can tailor your equipment to be effective against that specific type. Take as many of the quests as possible, especially early on in the game, because they give you the most reward for a relatively small amount of work, and they will help you know where to go and how to progress in the game if you are a bit lost or are just bored with doing straight campaign/adventure modes. You can earn a ton of coins and crystals, as well as chests and new equipment by completing the quests. You can leave the game in auto-play much of the time. However, as you progress further into the game, the battles will get tougher, and auto-play won't be good enough anymore. You'll have to take over battling manually here. Avoid getting hit, not just so that you don't take damage, but so that you can build up your hyper move and use it. The hyper move is a super high-damage attack that is build up by landing multiple attacks in a row without getting hit. So when you are fighting against a boss, waste a bunch of attacks on the lesser enemies that the boss brings with them, then build up the hyper attack, use it against the boss, and you'll land a ton of damage.
