Plant as many crops as possible and upgrade your fields for higher yields. Crops will provide the raw materials for recipes, sold at the market or to neighbors, and used for animal feed. Harvesting crops can also give you building materials such as wood, nails, and metals. Animals are expensive, but are easy to harvest, cheap to feed, and their ingredients can make recipes that sell for a lot of money. Most of the beginning crops that can be converted into animal feed are at a one to one ratio. Because clovers only cost two coins to plant, always use them if you need animal feed. They are the most efficient crop to convert. Expensive crops yield more feed than cheaper crops.
