If you attempt to go to the West side of Rogueport for the first time, a woman will stop you and say, "Don't move! I lost my contacts." Move and it will say "Squinch!" below Mario;s foot. Then the toad will say that she is blocking the west side of town until you get her another contact lens. To get the lens, talk to the shopkeeper and he will say it will take a while to get them. Wait outside the building and don't touch anything until Mario falls asleep. Then, go into the shop and you will see a lens selling for 10 coins. Give it to Zess T. and you will not only be able to get meals from Zess T, but you will also be able to go to the West side of Rogueport. | Submitted by NathanJ
