Casting

Before casting, look at the water to see if fish are jumping around. Move the marker to those locations, then swipe up to cast. If the swipe was done at the wrong speed or at the wrong angle, it will not be a perfect cast. Try again if the cast was not perfect. Only proceed with perfect casts because it will land the lure where the most fish are found.

Catching fish

You will be tasked to capture a specific number of a particular type of fish. You will be notified which fish is about to bite. Swipe up after it bites in order to capture it. If you do not swipe up, the fish will leave, allowing you to keep fishing and get a chance at a different type of fish. Use this to ignore fish that are unneeded and wait for the correct one to appear. After a fish bites, watch the line and make sure it does not remain in the red zone for too long. Reeling too fast is not always recommended. Consider alternating between fast reeling by dragging it to the bottom of the screen and slower reeling by moving it up. If the line's color begins to change from grey to green, yellow then goes towards the red, try to reel slower first. If that did not work and the line enters the red, release it and watch the line in the water until it turns orange or green, then begin reeling it in again. Try to get all the black areas for boosts while reeling, especially when dealing with larger fish.

Lines

To catch larger fish, you have to use a better line. Each line used is limited, and must be refilled at the cost of silver coins. Try to keep enough money on hand for those situations. If you need to earn more money, watch advertising videos in exchange for silver coins.

Lures

Different lures will be more effective at catching different types of fish. Go to your gear box and choose the type of desired fish. The best lures to use for that particular type of fish will be displayed. Each lure has a specific swiping pattern that must be executed for the best chance of it to attract fish. There are a total of four moves for each lure. To learn the patterns, begin swiping and look for the blue circle that indicates a correct swipe. The second correct swipe will be indicated by a slightly larger blue circle, and the third correct swipe produces an even larger circle. The fourth and final swipe is indicated by a very large purple circle. All the patterns that you discovered (even as incomplete) can be reviewed in the gear box under each lure type.

Silver coins

You will occasionally receive an offer to watch an advertising video to earn money. Always accept it as those offers are infrequent. Sell the fish you catch daily on the home page to earn money and experience points. The larger the fish, the better the reward. Make sure you at least cover the daily fees with the fish you catch in a particular area. Complete the missions and capture the required number of listed fish. If a fish bites, but not needed to complete a mission, release it and keep trying. Completing the achievements usually results in a large silver coin reward. Participate in tournaments after you are skilled and active enough to catch prize fish.

Tournaments

You can join tournaments based on your reputation level. Doing so will give you a chance to win prizes and unlock bonuses.
