To unlock Lost World, using the jet ski or hovercraft, swim several clockwise circles around four rocks (On the first section of the map) for as many times as you can, until Lost World forms. When riding the Hover Craft, Motor Boat, or Turbo Ski on the map screen, hold X and press L+R at the exact same time and you'll honk the first notes of some popular songs, one of them being La Cucaracha.
