The shopkeeper normally cannot be damaged. Find a red dragon in Zone 2 and bring it to the shopkeeper. This will make the shopkeeper afraid of you. After the shopkeeper backs into a corner, either manipulate the red dragon to kill it, or explode some bombs there. Note: This will kill the shopkeeper on all floors and occasionally cause its ghost to haunt you. Play in Local Co-Op mode with a friend. Have your friend play as Bard. All enemies will move when either you or your friend move, which allows you to kill the merchant easier. Be careful when moving; over-movement can kill. The shopkeeper teleports to the shop after each hit. If you wait until you have three bombs, you can carefully manipulate his movement to ensure he is within a bomb's radius when it detonates. Alternately, have a player move until the merchant is next to the other player and can be hit. Repeat the process until he is dead. Killing the merchant rewards you with a Crown of Greed, which doubles all gold collected, but drains one gold on every beat. Note: This technique can also be done with the same player controlling both characters, however movements will be difficult due to keeping the screen visible and keeping both of them safe. Play as Eli and find the item shop. Place a bomb at maximum range from the entrance, then kick it towards the shopkeeper. Walk one tile away after the kick, place another bomb, then kick it again. Walk away again, place a bomb, and keep jumping away instead of kicking it. If done correctly, all three bombs will have hit the shopkeeper. Note: You may need to create more space at the entrance before starting the bombing.
