Play 100 online battles. (ranked match or player match)
During the stage select screen hold either L1 or R1 when choosing it. By doing so you'll be able to fight in the stages that could be seen in challenge mode (for example the shop in crowded downtown will be different with a red banner instead of green).
Win 10 matches online(Ranked or Unranked).
In the Challenge mode (Time and Survival normal settings), you can use Zangief's special Tornado Spin to complete those levels very easily. There is one level on each mode that you cannot use the Tornado Spin. With those you can carefully time the hit and be able to take away a lot of strength and win those matches. The levels with Cammy and Blanca are the ones that are slightly more difficult to win, but are not impossible.
Simply beat Arcade Mode once, on any difficulty. Toggle settings are found in the Voice Settings in the Sound Settings option.
Do character-specific trials in challenges mode, both normal and hard. Each trial gets you one new piece of whichever character you used.
In Chun-Li's beginning video, she tells two civilians to step back. Those persons are Yin and Yung from Street Fighter 3.

After unlocking all characters except for Seth, Gouken, and Akuma, play Arcade mode with Ryu. During the first two fights, win them with nothing but the "Jump in kick and sweep" method (Fierce Kicks only) and get a "Perfect". For the third and fourth fights, repeat the method but instead of finishing them off, take a beating to fill your Ultra combo and unleash it to finish them. For the remaining fights, repeat the "Jump in kick and sweep" method to finish the fights (no Ultras necessary). If done correctly, Akuma should appear after defeating Seth. Defeat Akuma to unlock him.
Complete Each character's Combo Challenge to unlock their respective artwork in the gallery mode.
Complete Arcade mode with Crimson Viper.
To unlock a characters Prologue and Ending movies in the Gallery, beat arcade mode once with that character.
Complete Arcade mode as Sakura.
Complete Arcade mode as Abel.
Complete Arcade mode as Chun-Li.
Complete Arcade mode with Akuma. How you win does not matter. You will not meet him in the end. Then, go back and finish Arcade mode again as Ryu (using the same method used to unlock Akuma), only this time you will perform an Ultra on the fifth fight in addition to third and fourth. Defeat Seth and Gouken will appear. Defeat him to unlock him.
Complete Arcade mode as Bison.

In order to unlock the special videos in Gallery mode in SFIV, You must complete arcade mode with the two characters that are in each special video.
Beat Arcade mode once. Changing the audio can then be found in the options menu.
