In the room with the hole in the wall and the Medical Kit placed to the side of it, enter the hole. Press L3 to place your back to the wall and try sliding left while the camera angle is at an "awkward" position. Sometimes you will find that Sam will begin to tremble as a result of a glitch in the auto camera angle, causing it to move uncontrollably. Following this, even though Sam can operate the goggles respectively (thermal and night vision), you may find that he becomes "stuck" in one position and cannot be moved at all (as if he has become jammed in the gap). Also, maneuvering the camera angle with the Right Analog-stick at this point may result in you being able to look through the wall in a glitched fashion. Other effects may include the camera angle (if moved too far in one direction) plunging all vision into complete blackness until it is moved again.
