To play with the Grim Ripper but without his guitar, it's pretty simple. all you need is to have bought him, have 2 difficulty levels playable, and the guitar you want to play with. Select any difficulty except the one you want to play on. choose any character and go to the change Guitar screen. select the guitar you want to rock out with, tehn go back to the difficulty page. select the level you will play on, and it will say "Now Showing, The Grim Ripper playing the _____" or something like that.
