Head to the Old Docks, look for the carpentry (there should be a sign that says help wanted). If you talk to the owner he will agree to pay you 5 gold per task. The task is to bring pile of wood (across from bench) to the bench, you can do this unlimited times for unlimited gold. If you need help finding where to do this note how the owner is doing the action and parallel him in the area next to him (with stuff on it).
