Your expansion needs to come in little spurts. Start early and designate your difficult tasks at that time. Otherwise, if you start a task late in the day, your people may keep dealing with it well into the hazardous night. When you build a wall, you'll also have to hang around enhancing it once it has actually been built, which is challenging if you put that building and construction off till later on in the day.
