The first order of business in Talisman is getting across the river to the inner region. There are various methods of doing this, but the most reliable is to get an axe and make a raft. Axes can be bought in the city, and its often a good idea to keep hold of the gold you need to buy one, just in case. Getting where you want to go in Talisman can be hard work. If you really, really need to be on a particular space it is best to shoot over it back and forth with your dice rolls and hope you either roll lucky or draw a card that helps you control your movement. Your slots for spells, followers and equipment are limited. Make sure you understand the special power of your chosen class and only pick up things you can really make good use of.
