Abilities

Repair and Time Gate are abilities that are always available regardless of rig and officer selection. Repair can regenerate the health of a unit or tower. Time Gate slows all enemies in a specific region. Both require Nitrus for activation and should only be used when absolutely necessary.

Layout

Keep your rigs mobile and create chokepoints. Place your rigs so that they keep enemies inside the range of your towers. Having War Centers is even better, because you will have additional units and firepower. You can use the global movement command to move all of your ground units except your rig to the same location. Additionally, if Arkosen is one of your participating officers, as his Field Effect ability makes all ground units move to a particular location very quickly.

Nitrus

Nitrus appears over your Commander Center every several seconds. Nitrus is spent to upgrade your rigs. Collect as much of it as possible, including during battles.

Officers

Officers are leveled by having them in a battle. Each officer also has a personal field effect. For example, Nika has a heal power that can be used to repair a tower or rig. An officer will learn a new skill after reaching level 10.

Upgrades

Rigs have three attributes that can be upgraded, defense, attack, and special field effect. Defense improves movement speed and armor rating. Attack improves damage and reload speed. Each rig has a different field effect, and upgrading them increases their ability and shortens their cooldown.
