Your goal is to light up the board by matching tiles. The tiles will turn yellow with every eliminated piece. Match tiles as quickly as possible or free all the caged pieces. Your remaining turns will transform into magic puzzle pieces and help eliminate columns and rows that will add to your overall score. Try to solving each level from the bottom to the top. This is very effective in levels where you must light up all the squares. This will increase your chance of getting combos. Also try to make matches along the sides whenever possible, as this can be the most difficult area to light up. Replay previously completed levels and try to get more stars to build up your magic. Earning three stars on a level rewards you with six magic points. Earning two stars gives you three magic points. Earning one star equals a single magic point. As you progress, you will receive magic spells that can help solve levels. You can eliminate pieces by tapping on them, either in a small collection of clusters or through color patterns across the entire level. Use them when you are running out of moves or need help with your current layout. Each power-up costs a portion your magic. Magic can be restored by completing levels and making matches. Each time you complete a level you receive +1 magic for a one-star rank, +3 magic for a two-star rank, or +6 magic for a three-star rank. Some of the best power-ups are:

Wing Wind
Powerful wind that breaks random tiles. Use it on levels that feature a lot of chained gems.
Free Fall mode starts at the end of a level after you have completed the challenge and have at least a one-star rank. Save some power-ups for Free Fall mode because points are multiplied and all of your power-ups are automatically used. Advance the time on your device to replenish all your missing hearts. You can do this any time you lose a life, essentially giving you unlimited lives. Connect four or more same colored gems on your board. One leftover "Free Fall" gem will glow with a circle around it. Based on where you connect it with other pieces, it will clear either a row or column. Examine a "Free Fall" gem's light to learn how it will change the level. If its light slides horizontally, it will eliminate a row of gems. If the light slides vertically, it will eliminate a column. Create a "T" or "L" shaped combo to activate special powers to help you throughout various levels. Always match as many tiles as possible for additional bonuses and extra powers. Match five gems to create an explosion. A "cracked" gem will appear, which when matched with at least two gems of the same color will explode and may may set off a chain reaction.
