Tap the left side of the screen to avoid blocking your view. Quick and light taps are enough to make your fishy dive enough distance. Sending it too far will result in an obstacle collision. Only tap and hold when you need to make a quick and deep descent. Pull all the way down near the sea floor then release to rapidly send your fishy upwards. If nothing else is tapped, it will jump into the air. Use this technique to avoid certain obstacles or eat birds.
