Go Big When You Can

Don't settle for a match of three crops if you can score 5. This is a standard match-3 game in some ways, so watch for an area where you can place a crop to score three in a row vertically and horizontally at once (a 'T' formation), or where you can drop a crop in a single space between two of the same crop on both sides, which produces a match consisting of 5 in a row. As a reward for matching 5 at once, you'll eliminate crops of that sort from the board for a hefty points bonus.

Mind the Objectives

A sweet score is always nice, but satisfying the objectives is even nicer. Make sure to pay attention to specific objectives for a stage to increase your potential rewards. Keep in mind also that you'll often need to find matches next to another object, to interact with it, such as when Rancid the Raccoon throws cans into the mix and you need to eliminate them.

Start From the Bottom

Try to make matches starting at the bottom, rather than at the top, because the matches on the bottom are often the most difficult to remove. Clearing them will often change other parts of the board, potentially in your favor, so you should generally ignore the stuff that has just been added to the board, unless doing so will prevent a huge score.

Various Gameplay Tips

Keep in mind that there is no time limit for this game, so take your time and think a couple of steps ahead. Managing square-shaped matches will merge all the cropsies in a Super Cropsie and any regular cropsies matched around it will get boosted higher.

Windy Complications

You're now dealing with a rather unique hazard: wind. It blows across the board when you move pieces around, so you'll need to keep in mind how it will rearrange your crops. If you move crops to the right, wind will then blow from that direction. Get used to anticipating what action your movements will have, so that you can potentially engineer combos and score big.
