Most boosts should be purchased whenever possible to help you progress. Start by buying keys to open locked chests. The reward is always worth more than what you spent for the key used to open it. This will allow you to save up for further boosts. Following that, the Air boosts are the most important because they will allow you to dive longer. Try to have nine of them. Once again, with longer runs you will earn more than the cost of purchasing the boosts. Next, upgrade the Drill and finally Harpoon. The Defense Shield can often negate damage, which drains your air. Thus it indirectly increases your air and earning potential. The Supply Torpedoes are cost 500 coins per use. They usually will not be needed if you are stocked with attack or defense boosts. You may want to pay for an Air Torpedo occasionally if you are very deep and have to reach some locked chests. The Turbo Boost costs 750 coins and Super Boost costs 1,250 coins and allow you to start further down. If you are trying to just get large amounts of cash but not treasure, then it may be worth the purchase. The gold blocks have more money in them the further down you are.
