On almost every level where you hit a switch and something is moving (for example, stage 1-3 on the main game), there is another switch behind it. Go back to the back of the course and hit the switch. This will slow things down and make it easier to complete that level.

Most levels that are too fast have a slow-down switch located behind the starting point.

When you are on a level that you automatically land on a switch that makes things go really fast, turn around. There will be another switch that makes things go much slower when you go over it. This helps a lot on the fourth world, Inside a Whale.
