When you start your franchise, turn the trade deadline off. After you finish the regular season, whether you made the playoffs or not, in the wild card round of the playoffs, trade your first round pick, your third round pick and your sixth round pick to the team that finished with the worst record (#1 overall pick) for their first round pick, second round pick, and third round pick. In exhibition mode, randomize your team (left trigger) until the Madden Developer Team comes up. After you have found it once, it will forever be a selectable team in exhibition. Is your team lacking a DT in franchise mode? Then get on the free agent wire and pick up R.E. Marcus Stroud. Once you have him go to your player management and turn him into a DT he will become a solid 87 overall DT for the next two or three years then will drop to about an 81.Shaun O'Hara
If your team in franchise mode has a bad offensive line, then pick up Shaun O'Hara in free agency and move him to any position you need him. He is a solid 90 fix for any team.
