Alternate endings

There are 6 different endings, depending on choices made during your progress.

Worst ending
Allow all eight friends, Mike, Sam, Josh, Jessica, Emily, Chris, Matt, and Ashley, to die. Do not attempt to save anyone who needs help. This also will earn the "This is the End" trophy.

Best Ending
All eight friends must survive. Use the following choices to save the indicated person:

Ashley
Sacrifice Josh and not Ashley. During Chapter 9, do not choose to investigate the noise and part with the rest of the group. If you decided to investigate, do not open the thumping hatch.

Chris
During Chapter 6, do not point your gun at Ashley and choose to shoot yourself in the head; which will not happen. During Chapter 8, shoot all the enemies with the shotgun and Ashley will allow you to enter the lodge.

Emily
During Chapter 8, allow her to escape the room and do not fail the quick time events.

Jessica
During Chapter 4, choose the riskier paths as Mike to rush to save her. In Chapter 10, always choose the "Hide" option and complete all the quick time events.

Josh
Find all the Twin Clues or he will not be able to identify his sister's tattoo on the Wendigo that will crush his skull.

Matt
During Chapter 6, do not shoot the animals roaming the area while exploring with Emily. While on the radio tower, choose "Jump to Safety" and do not help Emily. In order to help Emily, you must have the flare gun with you.

Mike
As Sam, you will be give the choice to either "Save Mike" or "Hit the Light". Choose "Save Mike", then hide before running towards the light.

Sam
Do not fail any quick time events and successfully hide from the Wendigos.

Collected in the video below are the kill death scenes for each of the characters in the game.

Clue Location Bonus

Whenever you view a clue you will be able to read more backstory. Clues not only give information about the story they also are sometimes able to change the plot.

Clues Locations

In total there are 77 Clue Locations in the game and collecting them all will unlock the following trophies.

'The Tale of The Two Sisters' Gold Trophy
Unlocked when the group find ALL the clues from the Twins Clueline.

'The Fateful Descent' Gold Trophy
Unlocked when the group find ALL the clues from the 1952 Clueline.

'You Opened Their Eyes' Gold Trophy
Unlocked when the group find ALL the clues from the Mystery Man Clueline.

Extra Chapter

You can gain early access to an extra chapter in the game before it becomes a paid DLC in October 2014 by buying the 'Until Dawn – Extended Edition'. To get this edition you must pre-order 'Until Dawn'. In the Extended Edition you will see Matt and Emily, a new couple, out on the mountain who begin to suspect they are not alone there...

Perfect QTE's and Target Shots

Use the following trick to get perfect QTE's and hit every Target Shot when you mess them up. If you exit the ap and press the 'PS' button immediately you do so and then reload the game you will get (most times) another chance at it. This will allow you to make sure everyone survives to be rescued at the end of the game.
