Cast as many spells as possible. This increases your experience with that spell, and many spells will not skip your turn. For example, cast Precision first, then Enrage. Cast Regen after your monster gets hurt to get 2 Healing same that turn.Summoning
Be careful about summoning a new monster during a fight. Summoning a "new" monster skips the current monster's turn. Also, the "new" monster cannot fight during the same turn it was summoned.
