Easter Eggs

Two Easter Eggs, or secret things in the game that few people know about, for your brains:

1. First, go to the Omicron Alpha system. Easiest way is to become friendly with the outcasts at their base, Cali, in Tau-23 somehow. Somebody in the bar will tell you how to get there, if you pay them for the location of the Tau-37 jump hole. Once you've reached Tau 37 (this is the location of the final freeport, Freeport 10, as well as a secret IMG base) fly across the system the cloud opposite from the one you arrived in. I don't know exactly where the jumphole is, but it's in that cloud. Use the patrol paths feature on your NavMap to locate where the patrol paths converge.

They may do so in many places but one of them is the jumphole. Take the jumphole, and you're in. Make sure you are at least neutral with the Outcasts before you enter this system--they are all over the place and combat is inevitable unless you are really sneaky or really good. If you are not friendly, they will not hesitate to mop the floor with you, so make sure you're at least neutral. In this system they all pilot the second best ship in the game, and are all armed to the teeth.

Anyway, once you've become friendly or just somehow avoid them, go across the system and into the sinestre cloud--it's green by the way and easy to recognize. If you read the info tab on it, it will say that it is used as a burial ground for Outcast pilots who aren't space dust. Keep flying in the cloud, and you will reach the graveyard. It is full of dead Outcast ships. I mean it too. There must be dozens. Don't bother shooting the ships--they don't have anything good on them. Your scanners have probably already picked up the jump hole, and if they haven't, all of the dead Outcasts' ships are pointed toward it.

Once you find the jump hole, take it. You will find yourself in the first easter egg. This system, which is listed as "unknown" is really controlled by the Nomads. Yes, the alien dudes in the single player game have returned. Unfortunately, there is no way to make friends with the Nomads, but it is still fun to blow them up. Other than the odd Nomad patrol, there is nothing in this system.

2. The next easter egg is located in the homeworld of the infamous Corsairs, Omicron Gamma. This egg is much more interesting than the one in Omircron Alpha. I have yet to test this one yet, but I have heard it from over 3 sources, so it has to be true. Anyway, in Omicron Gamma, in Sector 2F, (use your NavMap) there is apparently a hidden jumphole. Like the jumphole in the outcasts system, it is listed as unknown. Take it anyway. Congrats, you are in another Nomad world, except this time, apparently, there are 2 planets to land on. Happy testing this code, I'm going to do so now. Oh, and another thing. Make sure you are friendly with the Corsairs before you enter Omicron Gamma. It is their homeworld after all, and, like the Outcasts, they won't think twice about blowing you to smithereens. Anyway, whatever is in this Easter Egg I know there are nomads. Blow one up and you can actually get their weapons, which are among the best in the game. Happy shooting.

As a side note, make sure that you are stocked up full on both Nanobots and Shield Batteries and have either the best Border Worlds ship which you can purchase on Planet Malta in Omicron Gamma, or the Corsair ship, the TITAN, which you can purchase for I think $170,000 credits on Planet Crete, their actual home planet, which is in Omicron Gamma. Have fun with these eggs. Bye.
