Easy farming and money

Equip the beginning necklace that you are given to use your tool anywhere. Later you may purchase the upgraded form from the sprite in the tree that sells items for money (next to the sprite to assign jobs). When you do so, press and keep holding the touch screen longer to show the upgraded effect. In order to use the accessories effect, it will say that it shows your tool's effects anywhere on the map. Seeds, the fishing pole, and all tools will be allowed to be used. Equip and select the map with the stylus on the touch screen. The map on the touch screen is the one that you can chop wood, break boulders, till plant and water seeds at. Next, select the map. On any "farm-able" land, you can use the sickle to remove weeds as well as till soil, plant, water seeds, etc. The direction you face matters later when you upgrade your tools and use them with the next level necklace. The tool's effect will be as if you are facing the touched plot of land, as if you were outside using the tools. Later a special glove will allow you to do the same by "plucking" the item directly from the touch screen map to harvest crops without going outside. This allows you to easily fish, farm, etc, because when you are inside, time does not pass. You are able to use any tool to perform their functions without ever setting foot outside. Combine this trick with the four different energy and fatigue restoring drinks that can be purchased from Van on the days ending in a "3" or an "8" on the second floor of the Inn for maximum duration.

Easy Money

In the beginning of the game, there’s a great technique you can use to make cash. Head to the empty fields all around you to gather bamboo, leaves and flowers. Collect as many as you can each day for a week (you should be able to collect ten of each per day if you’re quick enough). Especially good places to look are to the left of Cody’s studio, around the dig site, around Galen’s house, or in the area where the Harvest Sprite Tree and Spring are.

Once a week has gone by, head to the shipment box before 5:00 and put everything you found during your expeditions. You can make 10,000 or more if you do things properly.

The "secret spot" for the 3 hidden sprites can be anywhere in the valley except on your farmland. You don't have to worry about building a barn on top of your hidden helper! The location spots where they are trapped is different for each person's game. The soil must be tilled before you water it to uncover the sprite. It is easist to find these guys when you have high level tools so you can cover more area at once. Also in the Winter season the soil is too hard to use a Hoe on so these guys can only be found during the Spring, Summer, or Autumn seasons.

This single-member team will appear when you have found 60 Sprites and rescued the Harvest Goddess. Investigate the large urns to the left of the counter inside the Sprite Company tree.

Team 9 - brown Shop and Casino
Guts When the Witch Princess kicks you into the Sprite Tree at the beginning of the game you will find this fellow.

Jackie On the east side of the valley is a path that exits the area. If you try and escape the valley you will discover Jackie. He will never let you leave Forget-Me-Not.

Jet Go upstairs in the Inn and you'll find Van's orange crate where he sets up shop. Stand on the northern side of the crate and press the A button. Once found, Jet sets up a shop next to Guts.

Roller After the 8th of Spring, walk across the bridge near Vesta's farm. Roller will appear and open up the Casino in the back of the Sprite Tree. Jum Press the A button while standing at the fountain in front of Romana's mansion. You can then play the Memory game at the Casino.

Tep To the left of the Inn is a stove surrounded by a fence. Hop the fence by pressing the A button and then press A again while standing in front of the stone. You can now play the Blackjack game at the Casino. Hops There is a water well next to the Blue Bar. Inside you'll find the Poker dealer Sprite.

Team 10 - black Sprite Station
These planet-based Sprites will appear as you unlock the channels on the Sprite Station. Each channel Sprite is named after the planets in the solar system.

Mercury: After you find Guts the Channel 1 Sprite will appear.

Venus: Purchase an item from Karen's store for a total of 10 days.

Earth: rescue 20 lost Harvest Sprites.

Mars: Ship at least 300 of one item that you have produced on your farm.
Items that count are crops, flowers, tree fruit, milk, eggs, or wool.

Jupiter: Purchase 5 Records from Jet at the Sprite Tree.

Saturn: Participate in 3 seasonal festivals.
Uranus Befriend a villager to 100 Friendship Points. You can easily find this Sprite by using the show your pet trick.

Neptune: Available from the beginning of the game.
Pluto The most difficult Station Sprite to find. You must ship 100,000 of one item that you have produced on your farm. Items that count are crops, flowers, tree fruit, milk, eggs, or wool.

Weather Manipulation

If you need to change the weather for an important festival or for another event, try the following. Save your game before going to bed in the game. When you wake up in the game, if the weather isn’t as you wanted it, reload your game, go to sleep again, wake up in the morning and see if the weather is what you wanted it to be. Since the weather is randomly determined, you can repeat this as many times as you want until you get the weather conditions desired.
