Borders are your friend. If you can fill in these in, that means you can complete the last number in a row or column by counting out from those blocks.
Guess
Never guess. Unless you really want to.
Use logic
Remember, use logic. If you get big numbers, it is okay to paint in the spaces on the grid where the blocks will be no matter where that group starts or finishes. Just be careful to check your assumptions.
