Use mines to blast apart wooden spear-throwing traps.
Also mines are a great way of defeating a lot of creatures at once. Lay a mine and lead enemies onto mine setup. Finally detonate it for a quick kill.
Keep in mind that only three spears may appear on the screen at any given time. You do have an unlimited supply but if you try sticking more than three spears in a wall, the first one will disappear.
