Additional shops

Additional shops will appear in Tipa after characters of various classes are present on your memory card. The more characters and varying classes, the more shops and types of them will appear.

Battles

When fighting, be strategic. For example, in multi-player mode, when one player is charging up an attack, stand at the ready nearby. The player who is charging up is susceptible to attacks; the other players need to protect him or her. To defeat a major enemy such as a Boss, you can easily win without anything in your command list or using a Phoenix Plume . When you are low on health (for example, one heart), press Y to go to the menu and heal yourself with Berry. You can then finish off your fight easier with full health .This can be done as many times as desired.

Beat Moschet Manor

At Vale of Alfiteria, and the level Moschet Manor. What you do to beat it is you go and defeat all the bad guys ( 2 Tigers and 2 Stone Griffens) right at the big open space, (as soon as you attack one guy the other bad guys should come to help him). After you have deafeated them go into every single room, doesnt matter the order. Defeat all the enemies in all the rooms. There should also be chests in some of the rooms.

After you have defeated all the enemies in all the rooms, as soon as you walk out of the last room the boss fight should start, (first the cinematic). After you have attacked the big guy a couple of times, his wife should start and trying to use slow on you. Befor you attack the big guy kill her (she wont have a health bar), the way to tell if she is dead or not is she will walk onto one of the platforms that let you enter the doors. After she has done that you have to start killing the big guy. (It would be a good idea to equip a phoenix down inless you have a cure stone in which case you would have to cure yourself quit frequently). Dont use magic on him only use physacle attacks on him. Once you beat him mail moogle will come.

Combining magical effects

Combine the Magicite stones for the basic spells to cast amped-up or new effects. To cast one of the basic spells, you will need to assign its Magicite to a command list slot. If you want to crank up a spell's power, place another of the same Magicite beside the first. To create new spells like Haste, experiment by varying stones and their order in the command list.

Defeating Behemoths

If you have three Blizzard Magicites, the easiest way to kill the Behemoths is to attack the thing, then run to the bridge/planks. It cannot walk on them. Hust cast Blizagga until it is defeated.

Defeating Bosses

When fighting a Boss, make sure you have Plume Of Phoenix Down in all slots and no spells except for one Cure. Keep attacking the Boss until you run low on life, then run to the opposite side of the screen where the Boss cannot get you and cure yourself. Return to the Boss and start to attack him again. Repeat this until the Boss is defeated.

Easy Gil

Start a save file with a character that you are going to want to keep and three separate characters that you will not keep. Once all the characters are made, go back into the home town, Tipa, and with the three characters that you do not want to keep drop the 200 Gil that you start with, along with all items that can be dropped. Go into Tipa with the character that you do want to keep, and pick up all of the dropped items and Gil. You should earn 600 Gil each time you do this trick.

Get Money

Here is a cheap way to get money:

1. Start a MultiPlayer game.
2. Make four characters.
3. Drop 200 gil from three of the characters.
4. Pick it up with the character that didn't drop gil.
5. You just got 600 gil.

Getting Through Streams Of Miasma

If your having trouble getting through the streams of miasma you see everywhere, it is because your crystal is not the right element. When you collect myyrh from a stage, you will be able to change your crystal's element to any of the elements that stage has. Example: The miasma stream is earth element. Find a stage with the earth element, beat it, and change your crystal to the earth element.

Jegon River Boat

If the Jegon River runs dry, go to Veo Lu Sluice and cast Life on the dead yellow flowers in the area. This will allow you to use the Jegon River Boat and cross to Fields of Fum.

Magic Mix

To obtain gravity, holy, haste, slow, and stop, you must first mix other magic to make it. Here's how.

Gravity= 2 Fire, Blizzard, or Thunder(They must be different. Ex. 2 Blizzard)

Holy= 1 Life
1 Fire, Blizzard, of Thunder

Haste= 1 Life
1 Cure

Slow= 1 Life
1 Fire, Blizzard, of Thunder

Stop= 1 Life
2 Fire, Blizzard, of Thunder(They must be different. Ex.1 Life 2 Fire)

Monster difficulty

Depending on the number of players and the Myrrh cycle, a creature's HP will be boosted by a multiplier, as follows:

1 player 2 players 3 players 4 players
Cycle 1 x1.25 x1.50 x1.75
Cycle 2 x1.50 x1.875 x2.25 x2.625
Cycle 3 x2.50 x3.125 x3.75 x4.375

More Hometown Trades

The game allows you to create eight (8) character files per save slot on your memory card. Even if you're only using one character--or any number of characters fewer than eight--it's a good idea to create character files to fill up the eight slots. The more families and variety in trades that exist on your save file will reflect the variety in trades that are practiced in your hometown.

More Shops

Create extra characters on your memory card and more shops will appear in the hometown (Tipa). Make sure the characters you create have differing professions, so that the shops are also different.

Painting Mog for fun and profit

You can paint your single-player Moogle each time you visit a Nest. Mog will cast spells, and its color determines the spell it is likely to cast: Fire (Red), Blizzard (Blue) or Thunder (Green). The color of your Moogle also decides your Game Boy Advance Radar: Terrain (None), Monster (Red), Treasure (Blue) or Scouter (Green). The latter reveals monster stats.

Phoenix Down

Always carry a Phoenix Down in your Command List because it acts as an Auto-Life spell.

You will need to choose one of the eight family trades to occupy your parents and siblings while you are on the road. When you return home, you can get trade-specific items from your family. Consider starting eight characters to cram your town with every item-gaining opportunity possible. When you create your character, you will select one of eight family trades. The one you choose can have a big impact on your inventory over time. Your family will ask you to send gifts in your letters from afar. If you send back items that pertain to the family trade, you will get a big payoff in due time. You will not find many towns or tradespeople on your journey. Visit your family (and other families in your town) for rare opportunities to trade.

Stat-Boosting bonus

The Boss will drop four great stat-boosting artifacts, which tend to be more powerful if you satisfy your bonus condition well. Find out what the condition is by looking at the bottom of your Game Boy Advance radar.

Treasures and artifacts in multi-player mode

You can walk off with only one artifact no matter what, however in a single player game you will have your pick of the mix. In a multi-player party, the hero with the most bonus points gets first choice. However, the artifacts tend to be superior.

Unlockable: Blazin' Caravans

Collect a full set of mog stamps from various Moogle Nests to unlock the multiplayer mini-game Blazin' Caravans. Return to a Moogle Nest to play the game, which can only be played on the GBA screens.

Use Prohibited Names

Many names like "Andy", "Daniel", and "Mary", are the names of existing characters in the Crystal Chronicles universe. Unfortunately, when creating a new character these names are prohibited for players. However, you can often get around this by changing the case of the letters in your name. For example, instead of "Nina" you could use "NINA" and the game won't keep you from using your rightfully given name.
