No Need For Immortality

To unlock this achievement, on the third and final island and you have completed all tasks and the assault on Hel's Fortress is availble, call the attack. This isn't a very easy task, but you must survive the whole battle without being summoned once more by your shaman. If you are killed, quickly press start and you quit out, and restart again, the battle option will still be availble, when you finally reach Hel, undefeated, it is ok to die. There will be no penalty and the achievement can still be unlocked after she is defeated.

Red Skull Locations

*NIFLBERG* (First Island, 6 Skulls)

Skull (1/6)

After completing several tasks, you will be given the task to sneak into the major city, Darkwater. Now, instead of passing through the main gate, full of a dozen, ruthless Legion soldiers, hug the wall and move along to the North-East to find a blanket with a tree embedded on it. Hop over it. After you cross over the wall, the first red skull is found just to the south.

Continue south and then west, stealth kill any legion in your path. Head up the walkway that leads over the north gate. Ignore the 2 groupings of archers unless you want to alert the entire town. Head down the walkway on the other side. The portal should be within sight. Jump up the nearby crates to reach the portal. Stand in the middle and charge your dragon amulet. You can now head back to the ancient ruins and summon your first dragon. But, if you want to find the other 5 skulls, do it right now. They are harder to acquire during the battle and after the battle you will be moved to the next island.

Skull (2/6)

If you do wish to retrieve the skulls, you might happen to die a few times, so make sure to activate the leystone outside of Darkwater. Now, after powering your dragon amulet look to the west to scout out the 2nd skull in front of a few barrels, run over to it, but be weary, many Legion dot the area, and being caught by one will alert the rest of the others. If you do die, restart from the Darkwater leystone and return to the city.

Skull (3/6)

This time proceed north. Follow this path down a few rocky steps and behind a building. At this point, head west. At the road, watch for the patrol and cut across when its clear. Stealth kill your way to the west. You'll find a single legion soldier with his back turned to you as he stares at a reddish wall. The wall is in disrepair and the top is broken. Skarin can climb over at this point. Watch out for the 3 legion soldier patrol that circle the hut. One is a horn blower, so if he sees you, he'll alert the entire camp. Hug the northern wall. Next in a group of a few nearby crates, there is another red skull there.

Skull (4/6)

Go to the north and west. In the northwest corner is an area with 3 soldiers beating on dummies. Continue past this area to the southwest. As you come around the corner, into another area, there is a group of crates. There is a red skull sitting behind these group of crates.

Skull (5/6)

Entering Darkwater from the blanket. Turn north, but don't go down the rocky steps. Instead, head west and hop the fence. Looking west, across the road you'll see a fence. Just on the other side of the fence, you should see a group of 5 legion soldiers. There is a red skull sitting in the corner near them. This will require a suicide run to get to the skull. Just run in, grab a skull, and let them kill you, it'll be easier to start over rather than run around waiting for the heat to wear off.

Skull (6/6)

If you go to the same point overlooking the road for the previous skull, you can look to the northwest and see the north gate. Just to the south-west of the northern gate is a well. There is a red skull sitting behind the well. This will probably involve another suicide run. Just let them kill you, and proceed to summon Arl, and continue onto the next island.

*GALCLIFF* (Second Island, 12 Skulls)

Now, this level has two sections, both containing six each.

*Holdenfort Barracks*

Skull (1/12)

Start at the South-west corner where planks replace the spiked-wooden wall. Climb over it to find a Legion warrior staring at something, this something is the first red skull, finish him off and take his findings.

Skull (2/12)

Backtrack and enter Holdenfort from the South-east. From here go north-west and down the ramps to a small dock. Head west and down a second ramp to find the second skull awaiting your presence.

Skull (3/12)

Proceed to a big floodgate, and hop up onto it, shift your way over. Hop down and head east, do not take the ramp up and follow the path. When it curves, take it to the left and proceed down the way. Find the third skull behind some merchandise.

Skull (4/12)

Head back to the west and up the ramp you just passed. As you go to the northwest, you should see a grand staircase heading up. Just to the left of the stairs is a building. Hidden behind the building is another red skull.

Skull (5/12)

Head up the grand staircase. At the top, turn to your right a bit and continue up the ramp. At the top of the ramp, watch for a hornblower patrolling. Jump the fence on the right and continue to the north. Continue along leap over the fence wall. There is a red skull in the corner here. Continue west along the road.

Skull (6/12)

At the bridge, make your way under it to hop up onto the bridge's understructure. Hop across to the other side, and hop down. On the other side head to the left and up the ramps. As you reach the top of the ramp, turn to the right and in the corner of the fence is the last Holdenfort red skull.

*Caldberg*

Skull (7/12)

Head south to find your way into Caldberg via some rope netting. After climbing the second set of rope, you will be facing west. There is a house down across from you. Just to the left you can barely make out the first red skull of Caldberg, the 7th.

Skull (8/12)

Head back to the netting you came up. To the left of the netting, head under the archway and across the wall to the south. At the end, turn to the right, but not down the stairs. There is a long rope net hanging from the wall. Head down the net. At the bottom, head west toward the building on the other side of the grand staircase. A red skull is behind the building.

Skull (9/12)

Head back up the net you just came down. Continue south when you reach the top and down the wooden walkway. Take the ladder down. When you get to the bottom of that ladder, another ladder is to the south. Take it down, and down the 3rd ladder after that. To the south-west is a large archway. Head there and down the stairs. Jump the crates at the bottom and head due west. There is a net on the wall. Take it down and head along the docks. Just after you turn to the right, there is a crate sitting against the wall. A red skull is sitting next to the crate.

Skull (10/12)

Continue to follow the walkway all the way around. At the end will be a rope net to climb up. At the top, turn right. Ahead will be another red skull.

Skull (11/12)

Immediately turn around and head back toward the net. Continue west past the net and head around the building to your right. Just up the grand stairs you should see the Caldberg Leystone. Activate the stone and continue up the next set of grand stairs to the east. Stay toward the right and take the small set of stairs down. Continue straight ahead to find a red skull in the corner.

Skull (12/12)

Head back and take the grand staircase leading up. Straight ahead continue up the next set of stairs. Turn to the right at the top of those stairs and in the corner is the last Caldberg red skull.

~Achievement Unlocked: Skullbagger 2 - 15G~

*ISAHOLM* (Third Island, 4 Skulls)

You must now sneak into Thornvik and find the key to the prison. As you approach Thornvik, you'll find that it is encircled partially by lava. Also with high walls, Thornvik looks impossible to enter. However, along the east wall near the river of lava, there is a way to cross by jumping onto some rocks. Alternatively, you can also find an entrance from the west by crossing some rocks and a small ledge over the lava.

Skull (1/4)

If you're going after the 4 skulls of Thornvik, its easier to begin from the east. Hop across the rocks to get into the city. Now proceed south following the outer wall. Kill any legion in your way. Watch your left as you go. Just before some stairs that lead up onto the wall, you'll find the first red skull. The next skull is very close.

Skull (2/4)

Continue south just a bit and turn to the right around the fence of wooden spikes. Head north along this fence to find the second red skull. The two other skulls are in the northern section of Thornvik.

Skull (3/4)

To proceed, sneak around to the NW and cross the bridge spanning the lava river that divides Thornvik. As you reach the northern bank, turn to the left and follow the edge of the cliff to the west. As you pass some crates and a small wooden structure, turn north to find the third red skull.

Skull (4/4)

Head to the north and east. There is a small building at the north of Thornvik. Along the west side is a basement entrance. The last red skull is found tucked in a corner behind this entrance.

~Achievement Unlocked: Skullbagger 3 - 15G~

The Perfect Killer

When you encounter your first Legion Champion on the first island, be sure to have stocked up on throwing axes, get his attention, and throw two at him, if you are able to squeeze one more in there, do so. You will know he is weak by the his posture, when the button mashing finisher is near, he will slouch, he'll make a final strike and then you must activate the BM session.
