To unlock the characters, fulfill the requirement listed. The number in parenthesis next to each character's name represents the stage the character is unlocked on. Many of the unlockables are due to speaking to someone -- if those instructions are shown, you must speak with the person or people listed during that particular mission.


Aegil ( 17 points )Dispatch Serdic during mission towards the east
Alhambra ( 10 points )Speak with Serdic
Ansom ( 5 points )Speak to any character
Arios ( 13 points )If you acquired Elmer, speak with Serdic. If not, speak with Selmer
Cotton ( 9 points )Let no townspeople die during mission eight, and clear mission nine
Elmer ( 12 points )Speak with Selmer
Garahad ( 21 points )Speak with Igraine
Izuna ( 19 points )Shino must speak with Izuna, and Serdic must speak with Yumiluna during the previous stage
Owl ( 7 points )Speak with Marie
Rukia ( 11 points )Speak with Serdic
Shino ( 15 points )Speak with Serdic as long as Marie is still living
Simon ( 18 points )Marie must speak with Serdic
Yumiluna ( 18 points )Speak with Serdic

Hidden stages

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding stage:

Stage 9: Do not allow any of the townspeople in Stage 8 to die.
Stage 18: Open the prison door, then have Serdic talk to Yumiluna.

New Game+

To unlock a new mode, New Game+, beat the game once through and save your game after the ending. Use this file to begin New Game+, which is a mode where you start the game from the beginning while retaining many of your items, equipment, money and more.
