Contract Hunts

Contract Hunts usually require you to get a set number of specific targets within a time limit. These types of hunts reply more on your reaction time than strategy. A number of animals will enter your surroundings, and you have a limited amount of time to take down the required number of them.

Hunting Series

Hunting Series involve taking down one or more targets in a standard setting. Animal placement will be different each time, but none of them will react until you fire your first shot.

Money

Failing a hunt will still end up giving you a small money reward. Getting lung or heart shots will do more damage and will add more to your end of hunt money.

Targeting

If you have multiple targets, try to use an angle that groups them together. This will require a weapon with a faster reload time, to less the time spent relocating your targets. When you are hunting multiple aggressive targets (for example, wolves or bears), target the nearest one first. Once your presence is known, they will charge you. You will have more time to bring them all down the further they have to travel to get to you. However, you can allow them to get close-up if you need a particular shot to an organ.

Trophy Hunts

Trophy Hunts are special encounters with a number of special rare animals in an area, each with a particular set of weapon requirements that must be followed before they can be hunted. Once all of these hunts have been completed in a region, the next area will be unlocked.

Upgrades

Do not favor one aspect of a weapon while ignoring others. Having a weapon with maximum damage will not be that in situations where stability or zoom are more important. Maximize Infrared as son as possible. The Infrared on your scope is used to find hard to see targets during night hunts and to accurately target internal organs. After a certain point, upgrades will begin to take some time to be "delivered".
