Whenever possible leave your window application open so you can earn some money on auto-pilot. You will not get any Gourmet Points on auto-pilot.
Decorations
Don't waste money on decorations. Always spend any money you have on tables, chairs and stoves first.
Earning Money
You can earn a decent amount of money in Restaurant City by clicking on trees around your restaurant and collecting trash.
Easy money
Use the following trick to earn $2,000 in a hour.Note: You must have a staff of four people. Put everyone on "Rest" except for two of them (a chef and waiter). Both of them should be at 100 energy. Get your population up to 30.0 or more. Save the game and return in a hour. Repeat this with the other two staff members. Repeat this tactic, and in five hours you will have over $10,000. Note: This will not result in gourmet points but it is a fast way to get money.
If you have the outside door, sell it. Note: Never sell your inside door.
Do not close your restaurant before you leave it. If you close it, you will only lose 2 to 4 popularity of your restaurant before you leave. Let your workers get 90.00% or more energy. They will give you $2,000 when you come back. Let them eat a sandwich; they have 0.00% energy. If you have eight workers you will earn $400 after all your workers eat.
In one day two to five trees in your restaurant give coins. Simply click a coin in a tree.
Faster Clean and Fix
Instead of hiring the janitor to clean all you have to do is click with your mouse to clean toilets, fix arcade machines, clear tables. This does not work on Neighbors Restaurants.
Free Energy for Neighbors Employees
If you click the orange lunchbox on the screen you can give your neighbors employees free Energy every day (limit is 20 friends per day) and your employees will get some Energy in return. Free Energy ranges:
Water - 25% Energy
Apple - 50% Energy
Banana - 75% Energy
Sandwich - 100% Energy
Friends
Keep adding friends. Doing this will enable you to go to your new friends and their restaurants and collect new recipes.
Gourmet Alley
Go to the 'Closed' restaurant in Gourmet Alley and collect the 15 pieces of trash there, then go back to your street and return to Gourmet Alley again and there will be another 15 pieces of trash you can collect. You can do this for hours gaining as many points and money as you desire.
