Each boss has a unique attack. To take them out, grab and them and use Power Fist to toss them into the air. Wait for them to come within range. You can speed up this process by rescuing Poros during the Boss fight. When you grab a Poro, the Boss will move slightly closer.
Gold
Each a Boss is defeated in Story mode, you will earn a breakthrough bonus that varies based on how far that level is. After defeated a number of Bosses in a row, you will earn a consecutive bonus to your gold. To get the largest bonus, start from the beginning of Story mode.
Items
Your character can only bring two items during each run. The Boots of Mobility (+15% movement speed) and Needlessly Long Reach (+20% grab range) are good choices.
Mage poros
After reaching The Glade, Mage Poros will begin to appear. They can be identified by their pointy blue hats and long white beards. If not taken care of, they will cast shields on nearby Poros, preventing them from being collected. Grabbing a shielded Poro will only bump it up. The only way to dissipate the shields is to grab the Mage Poro that cast it.

When Poros are nearing the halfway point on the screen, do your best to collect them to gain more time.
